Personal Statement:

I am an expert in Test Lead. I have been testing for 10 years and Senior positions for over 6 years, meaning interpreting specifications, requirements and producing Test Documentation and solutions is second nature. This is all backed up with the ISEB Foundation certificate in Software Testing. I have experience in most Testing Types. I have experience in Team Leading and Management. I am enthusiastic, hard working and intuitive. I work well in a team, as well as individually and rise to any challenge.

Senior Test Engineer, 1E Ltd: September 2008 - February 2009

1E Ltd creates Power Management and patch deployment software; their customers include Dell, US Government and Microsoft. They adopted an Agile methodology

My role included the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Creation of both manual and automated test scripts based on User Stories for each Iteration
  • Raise defects and liaise with Development over cause and resolution
  • Liaise with offshore regression team regarding scope of regression and issue found in previous iterations

    Senior Test Analyst, VeriFone Ltd: July 2007 - September 2008

VeriFone develops and produces card payment and loyalty systems for a worldwide market.

My role was Senior Test Analyst mentoring a team of 2 testers.

My role included the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Creation of manual tests based on product requirements
  • Execution of test scripts of various platforms: Pinpads, EPOS, PayatPump etc
  • Liaising with management of team activities and requirements
  • Assisting the Development manager with understanding Testing's role and the benefits of testing.

Managing Test Consultant, Tescom UK: September 2005 - July 2007  

I was a Managing Consultant for nearly 2 years and was involved in several large accounts:

  • Conchango - this involved working on the Virgin Mobile Website. This was a completely new website and required full system and User Acceptance Testing.
  • AOL UK -This was the Trinity project which was a Web portal to replace the AOL Browser allowing customers to access AOL content through other well known browsers. I was the Team Lead for this project, managing a Team of 5 Test Engineers.
  • BSkyB - I was the Lead Tester on the Sky Anytime project. Sky Anytime is a client that is installed onto a PC or Laptop and allows Sky customers to download and view content on their PCs. I had to liaise with 3 rd Party Suppliers to make sure the correct level of System Testing was being undertaken, review and sign off Test Reports and Results.
  • Vodafone - I was managing a project for Vodafone that was a Secure Remote Access project for corporate users. This was created for one customer though due to demand it is being developed to fit other customers. As part of this role I coordinating the testing activities of several 3 rd Parties companies and also creating our own Test script for internal testing
  • Royal Bank of Scotland - I was brought in to reassess the testing processes in place due to problems in previous releases. I restructured the testing and put some more efficient test processes in place. I managed a team of 6 System Testers and liaised with a user base of over 1000 to aid with the UAT Phase.

Senior Test Analyst (Test Environment Engineer), Herbert Smith: October 2001 - Sept 2005

I was employed to join a new and expanding team of testers within this leading law firm. I was involved in all aspects of planning and implementation of the test strategy.


My role included the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Planning and testing of company and third party software and applications
  • Team Leading and Delivery of several new systems including OWA, iManage upgrades and Desktop rollouts.
  • Installation and Maintenance of TestDirector 7.2.
  • I was the Lead Tester for the testing and rollout of the Windows XP Desktop to the Asia offices, which meant managing resource, issue tracking and general Test management throughout this project.

My main responsibility was to review business requirements and create Test scripts for existing and new systems, also:

  • To assist in the planning of Acceptance Test Process
  • To assist in the identification and procurement of testing aids and materials
  • To create and maintain Test Scripts in accordance with agreed needs

 Ridgeway Systems and Software provide Net enhanced telephony for service providers and companies. My role within the company included the following responsibilities
